What I wrote to Jim Gernady when paying off on a bet Bears/Packers and Bears won the 2nd game of the season. Also, had just returned gone to the Green Bay/Seattle game on 1/1/06 at Lambeau Field and often wished Jim was there with us to see it all.

"Hi Jim -- Well....as "Chicago" always says Wait 'til Next Year! 2006 and they are in the Play-Offs. You swept me this year so here's a special treat for you ~~ some hard blue and orange sucking candy to help you get thru the next game/s. We wish you had been at Sunday's game with Bob and I up at Lambeau Field. It was an emotional game...
as we exited onto Holmgren Way off the highway;
the jets flew over after the anthem;
we scored enough to eat and enjoy all of our vodka cherries;
the bathrooms are now easy in and easy out;
three bikini clad females held a sign "Brett, don't leave us now";
when he did well, we all chanted One More Year, One More Year;
the green and gold colors everywhere are eye boggling
Bob smiles as he eats his peanuts;
Betty has her radio headset on;
Paul is taking pictures;
I'm looking thru the binoculars at all the Seattle and Green Bay players;
we do the WAVE;
and when the game is over, everyone is still in the stands!

It was a good day and we didn't rush out of there ~~ went to Curly's Pub where it was crowded and loud and full of happy fans. So maybe we had a losing season, but there are always green and gold smiles in Green Bay and even tho they played Seattle, the fans still chant on the way out "the Bears still suck" over and over.
